Moss Ember
Bleaky Slim Moss Ember combines a transparent moss green and olive natural base with black pepper and glowing red to copper red flakes. In the thin tail section the colour opens up to yellow olive and amber. The result is a discreet small fish bait at a distance – but with short, warm points of light every time the body rolls or the paddle changes angle.

Moss Ember is not a solid green pumpkin and not motor oil. The body is transparent and a muted olive/khaki green with a smoky depth in the thickest parts. The neck, tail stem and paddle become clearer and yellower as light passes through the material. Therefore, the same bait can look dark moss green towards the bottom and more golden olive in side light.
The black pepper breaks up the outline, while small red and copper-orange flakes provide separate reflections instead of a uniform glitter cloud. It's a classic nature-plus-trigger idea, but with an unusually clear yellow-olive transparency in the tail.

When Moss Ember comes into its own
- Clear to slightly colored water The transparent olive base looks natural to shy fish, while the flecks provide enough signal to keep the bait from disappearing.
- Vegetation, reeds and water lily edges Moss green and yellow olive are close to the colors in plant environments and allow the slim profile to work without unnecessary contrast.
- Sun, changing clouds and side light In bright light, the transparency and red dots are visible; under clouds the body becomes deeper and more coherent.
- Stone, gravel, wood and pier shadow. The pepper and smoky body break the contour around the structure, while the warm flak can mark changes in direction.
- Humus with reasonable visibility The yellow-olive tail receives warm light. For very short visibility, a stronger contrasting color should be the first choice.
Four surefire ways to get started
- Straight reeling: fish just above vegetation or along reeds and choose the lowest speed that keeps the paddle moving.
- Stop-and-go: crank two to four turns and pause; each restart provides paddle movement and new copper-red angles.
- Bottom jump: make short lifts over rock, gravel or wood and leave the smoky body lying close to the structure.
- Vertical or pelagic: keep the bait at the level of the fish and work with small height changes when perch or zander do not want to chase far.
One bait – several working methods
Mount the Bleaky Slim straight and let the hook leave the body before the thinnest tail section. The paddle will start easily and maintain its motion through a slow reel-in, stop and fall.
- All-round jig head for straight casting, stop-and-go and classic bottom fishing.

2–4 g Shallow water, calm wind and slow walking above vegetation.
5–7 g Good starting area for normal lake, river and canal fishing.
8–12 g More depth, wind, current or when bottom contact needs to be clear.
How to read color in reality
In shade and against a dark background the body looks muted moss and khaki green. In direct sunlight or side light the neck, tail stem and paddle open up to yellow olive and amber. The scales flash mainly red and copper orange between the black pepper. No glow or UV effect is claimed.
