DOWN-Stick Obsidian Rift

A blue-black NED profile pierced by emerald green reflections – designed for dark vegetation, shadows and structure.

The darkness builds the profile. The emerald breaks through.
Not another black jig

Obsidian Rift has a clear job in the bait box

The blue-black body gives the NED-Stick a dark and cohesive look. The color is built for situations where the bait is fished near shadows, vegetation, piers and other structure.

The emerald green glitter flakes break up the body with short metallic reflections. They are most clearly visible when the bait changes direction, falls through light or leaves a dark edge.

A temporary color scheme outside the standard range

Obsidian Rift is produced in a limited batch and is not part of the fixed color range. When the current batch is sold out, the product will be removed from the store. A new production cannot be guaranteed.

Therefore, color fulfills its own function.

Dark enough for a clear profile – vivid enough not to go flat

The combination gives a dark basic impression with separate green reflexes when NED-Stick starts working.

Obsidian base

Deep blue-black body

The basic tone gives the bait a unified and dark expression close to shadows, vegetation and other dark structures.

Rift reflex

Emerald green crimes

The glitter flakes break through the dark body and produce separate flashes of light when the bait changes angle.

Tactical role

Built for dark green zones

A well-thought-out alternative along vegetation edges, piers, shade borders and deeper structure.

It looks almost black at rest. Then the emerald cracks through the surface.

When Obsidian Rift is at its best

Choose it when the fish is near dark or green structure

Vegetation edges Fish it along reeds, water lilies, underwater grass and openings in dense vegetation.
Dawn and dusk The dark body retains its overall expression when the amount of ambient light decreases.
Piers and bridges Work along posts, shadow boundaries and the transition between dark and open water.
Cloudy weather The dark profile takes center stage while the green glitter provides brief reflections during movement.
Humus-colored or slightly cloudy water. The base color gives a compact impression without the entire bait needing to be strong or bright.
Deep edges near vegetation Let the bait work where the shallow vegetation transitions into darker and deeper water.
Obsidian Rift or Void Signal?

Two dark colors – two different roles

Obsidian Rift

Dark vegetation and green zones

Choose the emerald green reflex for vegetation, shaded structure, green-tinted water, and transitions between vegetation and open water.

Void Signal

Cold depth and blue signal

Choose the cobalt blue reflex for deeper water, cold dark environments and situations where you want a clear blue point of light.

The right color at the right time

Not designed to replace everything.
Designed for dark green environments.

Obsidian Rift is not the most obvious first choice on a light sandy bottom in crystal clear and shallow water. There, a lighter or more translucent natural color can give a softer presentation.

The strength of the color begins with vegetation, shadows, dark structure and diminishing light.

Fishing Obsidian Rift

Work close to the edge and take long breaks

The dark body doesn't need to be moved far. Short lifts and small shakes are enough for the ribbed surface to change angle and the green glitter to start flashing.

Short bottom lifts: lift the bait just above the bottom and let it fall back near the edge of the vegetation.
Small shakes: hold DOWN-Stick near the same pole, opening, or shadow boundary.
Long pauses: give the fish time to examine the dark profile before the next movement.
Slow trolling: move the bait along the bottom, through shade and parallel to vegetation.
Recommended rigging

Customize the presentation for structure and depth

DOWN-head For bottom contact, short movements and pauses along vegetation and rocks.
Dropshot To keep the dark profile above the bottom near piers, holes and shadow edges.
Light jig head For controlled falls along reeds, deep edges and transitions between light and shadow.
