Customer service Returns & cancellation rights
Here you will find CNW Bait's terms and conditions for cancellation, returns, return shipping, depreciation, specially ordered products and refunds.
The terms and conditions are written to be clear: the customer has the rights that follow from the law, but is also responsible for notifying withdrawal correctly, returning the goods on time and handling the goods with care.
Returns and cancellation rights in brief
1. Notify within 14 days
Consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt of the goods. Withdrawals must be clearly communicated to CNW Baits.
2. Return within 14 days
After notification of withdrawal, the goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than within 14 days.
3. The customer pays the return shipping
If the right of withdrawal is exercised, the customer is responsible for the return shipping, unless CNW Baits has expressly stated otherwise.
Important: not picking up a package is not the same as expressing regret. Please contact CNW Baits if you wish to cancel a purchase.
How to exercise your right of withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify CNW Baits clearly within the withdrawal period. The message can be sent to [email protected] .
The message should contain:
- order number
- name
- email address used for purchase
- which goods or goods the cancellation applies to
- date the goods were received
- a clear message that you want to cancel the purchase
Example message:
Hi CNW Baits,
I want to regret my purchase.
Order number: [enter order number]
Name: [insert name]
Email upon purchase: [enter email]
Goods being returned: [specify goods]
Date the item was received: [insert date]
Return shipping, packaging and customer responsibility
In the event of a right of withdrawal, the customer is responsible for the return shipping unless CNW Baits has expressly stated otherwise. The customer is responsible for packaging the item securely so that it is not damaged during return transport.
Use packaging that protects the products against pressure, leakage, dirt, moisture, odor, deformation and other influences. Always save the receipt, proof of delivery and any tracking until the return is fully processed.
If a returned item is damaged, lost or returned in a deteriorated condition due to inadequate packaging, improper handling or other circumstances for which the customer is responsible, this may affect the refund to the extent permitted by law.
Condition and depreciation of the goods
The customer may examine the goods in a manner necessary to determine the properties and function of the goods. If the goods are handled more than necessary, CNW Baits may be entitled to make deductions for loss of value.
For soft baits, jigs and similar products, depreciation may be incurred, for example, if the product:
- has been used in water
- has been rigged, hooked, cut, modified or otherwise affected
- has been exposed to odors, dirt, oil, chemicals, staining, or other contamination
- has been stored in a way that has affected the shape, color, softness or finish
- is returned incomplete or without parts that were included in the purchase
- is returned in damaged or clearly deteriorated condition
Practical rule: check the product carefully. Do not use it if you intend to return it. A used jig is normally not in the same commercial condition as an unused product.
Products that may be exempt from the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal normally applies to distance purchases, but there are statutory exceptions. For CNW Baits, exceptions may be particularly relevant if a product has been manufactured according to the customer's specific instructions or otherwise has a clearly personal touch.
This may, for example, apply to special orders, customized colors, special castings, special combinations, products produced according to the customer's instructions or other goods that are not included in the regular standard range and that have been produced or adapted for a specific customer.
If a product is exempt from the right of withdrawal, we try to make this clear before purchase, in the order dialogue, on the product page or in other relevant communication.
Unclaimed packages
Failure to collect a package is not a valid or clear notice of withdrawal. If a shipment is returned to CNW Baits due to non-collection, refusal, undeliverability, or being sent to the wrong address due to the customer's information, CNW Baits may charge any costs incurred.
Such costs may include original shipping, return shipping, handling, administration and any reshipment, to the extent permitted by law.
If you want to cancel your purchase, you must contact CNW Baits within the cancellation period and follow the return process.
Refund
If the right of withdrawal is exercised correctly, CNW Baits will refund the amount that is legally refundable. Refunds are normally made using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
When returning goods, CNW Baits can wait with the refund until the goods have been returned to us or until the customer has shown that the goods have been sent back.
CNW Baits can make deductions for:
- decrease in value due to handling beyond what was necessary to determine the characteristics or function of the goods
- increased delivery costs if the customer has chosen a more expensive delivery method than the standard option
- costs associated with unclaimed or incorrectly returned shipments, to the extent permitted by law
Return address and return process
Always contact CNW Baits before returning an item. Returns sent without prior contact, without an order number, or without sufficient information may take longer to process.
The return address and any instructions will be provided by CNW Baits when the case is registered. Do not send returns to an agent, drop-off location or other address without first receiving instructions from us.
CNW Baits does not normally release shipments that require cash on delivery, redemption, fee or other payment upon receipt, unless this has been expressly approved in advance.
Right of withdrawal or complaint?
Right of withdrawal and complaint are two different things.
| Matter | As far as it goes | Go ahead |
|---|
| Right of withdrawal | You want to cancel a purchase even if the item is not faulty. | Report regret |
| Return | You must return an item after a cancellation or other return has been approved/registered. | Start return |
| Complaint | You believe that the item is incorrect, damaged, missing or does not correspond to the purchase. | Read complaint |
Important: Do not use the right of withdrawal to describe a defect in the product. If you believe something is wrong, read the complaints page and send the order number, pictures and description.
Corporate customers
The right of withdrawal under the Distance Contracts Act applies to consumers. If an order is placed by a company, association, organization or other business entity, the consumer's statutory right of withdrawal does not apply, unless CNW Baits has expressly agreed otherwise.
For corporate customers, returns and exchanges are only handled by agreement with CNW Baits.
The terms and conditions do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
These terms and conditions are written to provide clarity regarding returns and cancellation rights. Nothing in the terms and conditions limits the customer's mandatory rights under Swedish consumer protection legislation.
If any part of the terms and conditions is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Do you want to cancel or return?
Send your order number, name, email address and which items are affected. Wait for instructions before sending the item back.
